
General Directorate of the Turkish
State Mint and Printing Plant is one of the most distinguished and oldest organizations of
Turkey and the world. Minting of the circulation and commemorative coins; the analysis of
precious metals and setting the rules of the trade made with; production of all kinds of
official seals, medals orders, badges and medallions; printing tax and revenue stamps, ID
cards, passports and the other security and valuable documents and items are within the
scope of the Organization's activites.
After 536 years of experience, today,
it is a self-regulated organization related to the Undersecretariat of Treasury.
Financial results reveal that the
profit is in the region of 2 million US dollars in 2000, 3 million dollars in 2001and 2002
and 10 million dollars in 2003.
